It has been almost two months since my last Now post which is not good enough if I’m to use this as a reflective and remembrance exercise.
Health and wellness
I am trying to journal regularly. My sense is daily reflection will help me grow and even out the ups-and-downs life. Traditionally I only journal when I’m on the edge and need to resolve something difficult in life. Still, never as much as I should to stave off the down points. I found it difficult to have something meaningful to say each day. My week was a pretty good one and I had nothing obvious to work through.
I am ok with not journalling every day. The risk is I suddenly go a week because I haven’t developed the habit enough to be at the point where Streaks matter… until they don’t
Gym is going well. I keep upping my weights and can tell overall basic strength building has helped. One exercise continues to prove difficult and I am not much further forward than I was back in January. My trainer tells me some muscle groups take longer to get started—don’t worry about it. My weight gain has halted. My weight loss has not yet started.
Hobbies
A 2025 goal is to finish the Danish ships cross-stitch. I am unsure when I began and I estimate Winter 2016 so coming up on 10 years.
Gaming
A few weeks ago I started Red Dead Redemption II on the PlayStation 5. It has always been recommended and I have been enjoying it. Unfortunately there is no pull to play. I need more reason than “It’s fun to be a cowboy”. Back to the bonus levels in PowerWash Simulator. I’m almost finished cleaning Santa’s workshop.
Next will be a replay of the Tomb Raider (series) once the first game is on special again. I think my daughter has my original disk.
Photography
I took my camera out for a lunchtime walk with a focus on Abstract Architecture. It was good for my Soul.

Gardening
I got through a few more of my notes from Sieler (2003), Coaching to the Human Soul (Volume I) at the weekend, adding Listening, Always listening, Already listening and Automatic listening.
