My Already listening directs how I interpret what I observe, and it also restricts what I are capable of observing.1
I find this one of the most important ideas in The Ontology of the Human Observer. It is simultaneously what places each of us uniquely in the world, and what keeps us at odds with one another.
Ideologies and biases are obvious examples of Already listening but they may also come in form of hidden Cultural narratives.
