I’m working to get a Now post out each Sunday evening. This is my third in a row, and it almost didn’t happen. After making remaking the bed and putting my clothes away I just want to sit down and chill out in front of whatever rubbish is on TV. I didn’t get any other post out this week either.
Last week at work was a struggle. A combination of not being able to push projects forward and I think some bouncing back after the full-on week before. All I can do when it’s like this is push forward one step at a time: one conversation at a time.
Reading
I’ve finished Bakker (2004), The Warrior Prophet and am looking forward to the third and final book in the series. Replacing that on my Kobo reading list is Wang (2019), The Sword of Kaigen and on my walk today I started King (2004), The Song of Susannah, the penultimate book of The Dark Tower.
Gaming
My Cities Skylines II city is in trouble. I’ve lost $40m due to be being overbudget and because I don’t understand why, I can’t recover it. Thankfully, it’s not real life and I can start another city. A limitation of this one has been suitable flat ground for industry.
Ghost of Yotei didn’t get a look in this week at all. Instead I spent time this afternoon with my new exploration vehicle, the Nomad, in Elite: Dangerous. I enjoy tripping around space on my own.
Website development
A couple of major advances in Migrating from Quartz 4 to Quartz 5. Today I sorted out lists of posts. They still look crap, but the content is there and that’s what matters. I can fix the formatting.
