It’s time to start blogging again and this time I’m changing the rules a little. For almost two years I posted regularly to thought?horizon and don’t get me wrong, I really enjoyed it, but the focus was on knowledge management to support development of my company. As I evolved as a blogger I found that the knowledge management focus was too limiting and it became harder to write. Especially if I had something in mind which strictly wasn’t KM related. I would end up in some kind of stasis of confusion; unable to act at all.
Then, as I began studying ontological coaching I began this site in order to blog about a new interest. Same problem. Different domain. I had more things that I wanted to share than would fit into either of the forums I had created.
A few days ago I got back in touch with someone I had met in my earlier blogging escapades. Terry Frazier had found my earlier writing and importantly found some value in it. Here’s a snippet from an email of this past weekend.
I really enjoyed our conversation the other day (my Friday, your Thursday). Your comments about how you enjoyed thought?horizon got me to thinking about blogging again. Successus has been putting together a repository of success based information, yet that has always felt a little incomplete. There is an unstructured nature about blogging which this new system can never compete with. For example, this email has no place on parallax, but would make a great blog entry! … All of this just to say thank-you for reminding me the value of being in RSS conversations with others as a source of new ideas and also for re-awakening the spirit of blogging within me.
Who is the Quantum Gardener? describes why Quantum Gardener is my alter-ego and where I now feel I can blog the way I’m meant to.
The new rules are: no strings, no boxes to fit into—just what I feel I need to share. If you’ve been there with me in the past let’s journey again. If not, welcome.
