Yes, I promise I won’t become one of those people who constantly drones on about their athletic training. Most around me wouldn’t even know I’m following My strength exercise routines at the gym.
Today however, I hit my first milestone with my first weight increase. A meagre 5kg uplift on the weighted shoulder press, but measured in percentage terms a whole 100% more on what I was pressing previously.
Strangely, the first exercise with my trainer when I began was the weighted chest press and I nailed it. Haven’t done so since. It’s as if I put 50 years of pent up effort into those first two sets and haven’t recovered since.
