A while ago, Mike Smith from 10X Bendigo asked if I posted about work experiences online. I would love to as interactions with people who think differently from me are always a rich source of learning. However, whenever you read something you bring to it your own meaning, drawn from the background of your life and without the opportunity (or inclination) to clarify what I’ve written problems will arise.

If I were to reflect publicly about a difference of thinking between you and I, that very difference will often lead you towards misinterpretation of what I have said. Should I say black and you say white then no matter what I write about the wonder and richness of us thinking apart from one another you are likely to hear my arguing for black over white.

In the work environment that causes problems for the both of us. To protect us both I refrain unless I can draw out a general, unidentifiable comment. Sadly that means some learning doesn’t get shared.
