I use Macrium Reflect Home Edition as my daily disk image software and have been using it for many years. One of the advantages is the ability to restore to a smaller drive. Another is the ability to quickly mount a backup as a drive and copy files directly. For recent files this is faster than a restore from Duplicacy.
Restore
- Boot from USB rescue disk (use WinPE image as WinRE won’t load)
- Load from Image, click network icon
- Map to network drive location - needs username and password from 1Password.
- Restore happily
