Legitimate other

Legitimate other

4 May 2025†

ontological distinction

Treating another as legitimate means honouring they, like me, have a set of Core concerns and are acting in Concernful activity to their best ability.1 When I Listen for their concerns, free from my prejudice and assumptions, I can hold them legitimate.2

Legitimate other is broader than Respect. It is the right of another’s Soul to exist as it wants to.

Every time I illegitimise another, I diminish myself.
