I first learned about this book from the Silo TV series and read it after completing season one. There is a lot in the TV series that was clearly there to pad it out until the big climactic moment that happens mid-way through the book. There isn’t enough time to resolve it all and hit the book series end within the remaining three seasons.
The world is well constructed. Perhaps backed by the TV series images, I did have a good sense of what the each silo looked like. Not sure that I’ll read it again.
