Last night I saw somebody choose a Conversation for complaint over a Conversation for possible conversations. Rather than opening up an opportunity they publicly (in front of 270+ people) damaged their reputation, that of their business and eliminated any chance of redressing the original wrong they felt had been put upon them. The complaint was made against the business of the keynote speaker who responded by initially walking as far away as the stage would allow then, graciously offering a future conversation — whilst shaking their head to say “No” as the words were spoken.

I’m quite saddened by it all even if it is a powerful lesson on what not to do.
