I’m always on the lookout for good recommendations. During COVID-19, I was watching old episodes of Game the Game on YouTube and came across the Mistborn: House War play through. Right at the start host Becca Scott mentions the Mistborn series was one of her favourite book series. I’d never heard of it but since the game play looked interesting I bought the Mistborn and was hooked on Brandon Sanderson from that day forward.
What a writer. After the initial Mistborn trilogy I moved to The Stormlight Archive and despite each book in that series being 1000+ pages, I read the first 4 back-to-back.
I’ve read all 7 Mistborn books released so far.
I have recently listened to the first five of The Stormlight Archive audiobooks. Amazing to recognise now how much foreshadowing there was which I was not aware of.
Sanderson’s history as an author is covered by him and Tim Ferriss in a fast-paced 3-hour interview. I found it a fascinating insight into the mind of a successful author.
