I’d heard of Marcel Proust but never knew what he’d written until I came across Nguyen (2025), no one told me about proust from an interview and thought I’d give it a read. Like much old prose, it takes a bit to get into the flow and I find the multi-page sentences and paragraphs mean a little more attention than I have available. So far it’s worth it for the poetic descriptions, even if the story itself is a little bland for my taste.
