I first purchased a Kindle Paperwhite on 15 May 2015 and since then have read somewhere between 90,000-100,000 pages on it. It has delivered far more than I ever expected it to.

After watching some YouTube videos on the Kindle Oasis I decided to take the plunge and the advantage of Amazon Prime Day sales and purchase the basic 8GB model. The overwhelming message was if your read a lot, the extra money (almost double) for an Oasis over a Kindle Paperwhite is worth it.

The first book I finished on the Oasis was The Golem and the Djinni.

I replaced the Kindle Oasis with a Kindle Scribe on 2024-05-31.

My next reader will be a Kobo. Kindle’s ecosystem is becoming too restrictive. It’s like they have said, “Here’s the book you bought from us, now you have to use our spectacles to read it.”
