If you’ve noticed postings to thought?horizon have been pretty slim lately. I’m putting together a new business which is drawing upon every skill I’ve learnt over the last 10 years. Time constraints being what they are, I’ve found pleasure in simply Listening to the blogging conversations that I subscribe to rather than speaking participation myself. I was going to say “rather than active participation” but that belittles what listening is. You see, as I’ve listened I’ve learnt a few things.

Listening has allowed me to identify the themes of conversations rather than individual speaker’s comments. It is a strong community that I belong to and a lot of people within it willingly share extremely valuable knowledge.

Listening has allowed me to come to know what is important to each individual. Instead of ‘posts’ I’m picking up on personalities and concerns.

Listening has allowed me to reconnect with what is important to me. It’s the connection between people that blogging allows. It never was the technology but sometimes the need to post gets in the way.
