The term, Gaming pile of shame refers to the list of video games a player has purchased but never played or finished. Books call it a reading list.
It is a weird combination of Guilt and Pride.
Game subscriptions like PlayStation Plus or XBox Game Pass provide many games for free under the subscription which can grow the pile quickly for a minimal perceived cost.
The length of some games, upwards of 100 hours or more, mean that in practicality every games has a Gaming pile of shame they will never eliminate.
