We’re amusing ourselves to death, triggered by dopamine on platforms that want us to keep moving to the next thing.
Books > Television > Internet has shortened time we can focus.
Without focus there is no engagement and meaning.
Put the phone aside.
Reading is by nature a focussed activity. You give your focus to the book instead of having it taken from you.
This may be why I have had trouble even approaching important decisions. Is a lack of focus stifling my growth?
