I just found out from Seb’s Open Research that Yahoo have made available a RSS feed for their publically readable newsgroups. This makes it possible to grab a feed using a news aggregator such as NewsGator.
I’ve just tried it on the PersonalBrain group and found it to be lacking on what I can get via direct subscription. The Yahoo feed generates a message in my aggregator with a link to the original article and the subject line. When I’m previewing the direct subscription I also get the body of the message there and then. Yahoo requires me to be connected to read the messages and I have another click to view them.
