Latin translations vary of the motto vary between “Not following meaner things”, “Not having followed mean pusuits” and “Not following inferior things”. The final translation is impeteus for it’s choice here. As a motto for personal mastery, it resonates as a reminder to continually seek improvement in ourselves. It is also my family’s motto.
