An interesting series of questions similar in style to The Upside of Irrationality. Interesting to see an alternative reason for crime reduction discounting the ideas in Gladwell's Tipping Point.

5.How To Bounce When Others Break: The Top 10 Rules Of Resilient People by Steve W. Price How To Bounce When Others Break: The Top 10 Rules Of Resilient People by Steve W. Price

Resilience is one of four core values taught at my daughters' school. As adults we don't hear the term so much. In this book Dr Prices lists his ten ways to become resilient. Many of us do have a level of reslience already built in to our makeup. I liked this book because it has ideas on how to firstly recognise where you are resiliently strong and secondly how to develop that muscle further.

6.Man's Search for Meaning by Viktor E. Frankl Man's Search for Meaning by Viktor E. Frankl

A good friend recommended this book and I'm glad he did. "Schindler's List" and "Band of Brothers" made the introductory section of the book more vivid and for me helped the meaning of the search for meaning come through. I find I'm already applying some of the principles learnt.

Data from Goodreads

Note: You may have noted above the number of books in the list doesn't match the number of books I said that I read. This has occurred because I've read one or more books multiple times during the year, but they are only shown as of the most recent read. You may also have seen dates outside the nominated reading year. Again, a book read in subsequent years will have a later date shown.
